Fit Moms: Inspirational or Annoying?

I am totally against anyone "fat-shaming," but I don't think that's what's happening in these photos. Maybe a little more in Maria Kang's photo, but Abby Pell's photo seems to be more about inspiration for moms to get in shape.

Do photos of fit moms saying they have no excuses and that's why they look good make you feel guilty or insecure? Or do these photos act as inspiration to you?

The Sun's Page 3 Topless Women Issue

Can you imagine the outrage if an American daily newspaper decided to start publishing photos of topless women inside their pages?

The UK's Sun has something called Page 3 Women, which is just that. Every day. Every page 3. A topless woman.

It seems like such a sad representation of our society that in this day and age topless women would adorn a news daily.

And I'm not a man-hater or anti-topless women. I think the nude body is a beautiful thing.

But I think there's a place for everything. And a daily newspaper that little girls might pick up and glance at is not the place for representing women as simply objects.

Israel Bans Underweight Models

Israel has made a bold statement to the world by banning underweight models.

Hopefully, this will be the start of more awareness being brought to the destructive world of modeling--not only for the models themselves, but for the young girls who wish to emulate them.

I think Israel has taken an amazing step in the right direction for all women.

In their first Great Debate, Can Stripping Ever Be Feminist?, stripper-turned-author Sheila Hageman blogs that you can take your clothes off for men and still be a feminist, whilst women's rights campaigner Navprit Rai insists stripping can never be a feminist statement.

More Women Considering Stripping in Down Economy

The Huffington Post UK’s Lucy Sherriff asks how far someone might go to find a job in Student Jobs Over Christmas: From Hamley's Elf To Stripper.

She spoke to two college students who took very different job routes over the holidays—one paying minimum wage as an elf and one paying lots of cold, hard cash for dancing in her skivvies.

Hannah, the 19-year-old student from Sheffield University, who started stripping, is making £400-£500 a night.

Is it any surprise that there are going to be many young women who turn to stripping when faced with this financial dilemma?

The concern becomes when stripping is something that they really don’t feel comfortable with, as Hannah expressed.

"I would hate for anyone to find out as I am quite ashamed - and it would ruin any chance of having a respectable career in the future. But I just can't afford to turn down that much money."

Before strapping on stilettos and pole dancing, women need to consider all the possible risks involved by examining their motivations and morals for the job.
